with you to ensure affordability of the products or services needed

The Founders of Executive Ministry
Solutions:
Executive Ministry Solutions was founded in January 2005 through
a lifetime of experiences and education by Alan Stover.
Alan Stover: Pastor – CEO, President
Alan Stover accepted Jesus as Lord and savior at an early age.
He has extensive ministry and ethical business skills and a proven
ability to lead change. He demonstrates a superior level of integrity,
determination, ethics and Biblical principles. Alan holds the following
degrees: Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management; Master
of Ministry (MMin); and Master of Business Administration (MBA) – all
from Bethel College, Mishawaka, Indiana. He is the honored husband
of Pamela and proud father of adult daughters, Andrea and Dawn.
Alan worked across the country in the nuclear power industry for
over 20 years where he gained executive professional skills. He
received executive certifications from the University of Minnesota
in the Carlson School of Management and the University of Texas
for Six Sigma training. He finished his nuclear power career as
a Nuclear Oversight Manager responsible for quality assurance and
quality control at multiple power plants in the northern Midwest.
Alan currently serves as Radiation Safety Officer for Baylor University
- Waco, Texas.
Alan also served as senior pastor for churches in Texas and Michigan.
He started a church which included charter, incorporation, and
approval as a 501(c)(3) organization. He was instrumental in successful
church growth strategies at multiple churches and has experience
with many denominations and non-denominational organizations. As
an ordained pastor, Alan fully supports Biblical and ethical business
principles and wants you to experience the benefits of an executive
in your ministry organization.
Example Projects
Organizational Assessment of a Bible Church in central Texas
Reviewed operations of
the organization to identify business strategy strengths, potential
areas for improvement and recommendations to realize those improvements.
Provided a written report and verbal
presentation to the organization's board. EMS identified four strengths,
seven potential areas for short term improvement and two potential
areas for long term improvement. In addition, EMS submitted multiple
options to address the areas for improvement.
Feedback from Senior Pastor: EMS is prompt
and reliable. Alan's manner is professional
both while researching and presenting.
Staffing Plan for a United Presbyterian Church near Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania
Reviewed each ministry supported by the
church budget. Identified all paid and
volunteer staff for the church. Reviewed
the church budget to identify budget deficit, overlapping expenditures,
potential non-staff budget cuts, and budget available for staff.
Recommended potential non-staff budget cuts, future “functional” organization
chart, and transition plan from current configuration to future
organization. Identified potential annual savings of $70,670.
Feedback from Senior Pastor: As the pastor
of a small church with a fairly large
staff for its size that continued to
have financial struggles to make ends
meet each year's end, I was thankful for Executive Ministry's expertise,
creativity, individualized approach, and flexibility. There was
a significant reluctance and some anxiety in admitting the need
for change, but Alan made the experience both engaging and beneficial.
Executive Ministry offers a variety of services. My only regret
is that we as a governing board didn't contemplate a more thorough
option for the consultant's advice than a staff / budget rationalization.
It was helpful -- extremely so -- but the continuation of Alan's
services with the production of a five-year action plan would have
been a more strategically efficient use of resources. I would be
pleased to speak on Alan's behalf to anyone considering the value
of Executive Ministry's services.
Strategic Plan for an Episcopal Church in rural Michigan
Completed an assessment of current operations
through the use of custom made
check sheets and interview guides. Developed
an initial assessment report and presented
to the Vestry. Following acceptance by the Vestry, a strategic
five-year plan was developed and presented to the entire organization.
The plan included tasks, milestones, performance indicators and
supplemental information to help achieve various goals.
Feedback
from Board Member: We are very happy
with the plan that EMS has drawn up for us and the continuing support
of Alan in particular.
Strategic Plan for a United Methodist
Church in rural Texas
An assessment of
current operations through the use of
custom made check sheets and interview
guides was completed. An initial assessment report was developed
and presented to the Administrative Board. Following
acceptance by the board, a strategic
five-year plan was developed and presented to the entire organization.
The plan included tasks, milestones, performance indicators and
supplemental information to help achieve various goals.
Feedback from Senior Pastor: Change is
always difficult to accomplish but it
is possible when consultation is done
for organizations in a professional way.
EMS has been effective for us, as it
has allowed us to look more objectively
at our self and recognize any
systemic issues, that are seemly always
apart of century old organizations.
